I’m Michael. I’m a husband, father, and grandfather living in Oklahoma. Recently, I retired after working for several decades with adults who had a wide spectrum of disabilities.

On this website, I feature short fiction about subjects that don’t usually receive the attention they deserve. The stories focus on characters with intellectual and physical challenges, as well as others who might be vulnerable and at risk.

The men, women, and children in each story are portrayed realistically. They are not meant to be “inspirational” nor are they demeaning caricatures. They are just people with the same hopes and fears, as well as successes and failures that all of humanity shares.
